Today, with their lightweight and headless design, Steinberger basses are still bold, modern instruments that offer players both a smooth tonal response and rock solid intonation at any position on the neck.

The XT-2 Standard Electric Bass Outfit (Left Handed) features the revolutionary Steinberger Bass design with a Basswood body and 3-piece Hard Maple neck that together resonate as a single piece of wood. For traveling musicians, the XT-2 is the Ultimate Travel Bass™. At 38.5” long and only 7.5lbs, its ergonomic design makes it easy to take anywhere including overhead airline compartments. And thanks to its headless construction and 3-piece Hard Maple neck, the XT-2 isn’t as sensitive to temperature changes, which makes it virtually indestructible! The left handed neck has a comfortable 1960's style SlimTaper™-D profile, 24 medium jumbo frets, a 34” scale length, and a 14” radius. A folding leg rest sits compactly on the lower bout of the body.  A deluxe padded gigbag is included.
