The Baby Terror is the micro-lunchbox member of the solid-state Baby series. It has the classic lunchbox footprint, but packs the tone shaping and modern control of its siblings: Gain, Volume,...
Orange Amplifiers made a name for themselves in their early days with fairly heavy duty classic heads and later, some smaller tube amps that struck “Terror” into guitar chord sequences.
Aiming to capture the hearts and fingers of even more guitarists, their little orange electronic geniuses came up with a new series of lunchbox amps: mini sized amps with muscle: that would make practise sound real and hold their own at small gigs too! The Crush PiX Series combos soon proved popular. Here Doug Doppler, one of Orange's own techy guitarists gives a run through of the series. We hope you find this helpful.
More recently models like the new Orange Crush 35RT combo take this further; keeping versatility alive, while losing the digital multi FX: going instead for a more workable control layout. It’s better suited to performance, with features that include two separate channels.
Taking innovation further they’ve managed to combine the good bits of valve and solid state electronics in a completely new genre of nano sized hybrids like the Micro Terror, a 20w hybrid head that preamps with a single 12ax7 valve to feed sweet tones into the solid state power amp producing a tiny high volume mini beast of an amp!
Like a topical pun on Star Wars, bass guitarists are catered for too with the OB1-300 and its siblings.
