The FT-350SCE is, as previously mentioned, based around a dreadnought body size. This, mid-sized guitar standard is a great balance between big sound, and manageable physical size. Here, a cutaway allows easier access to the upper frets. The body is built with a time-tested tonewood combination.

The top is solid spruce, providing sweet upper frequencies and smooth mid-range with lively dynamics, with mahogany back and sides adding fuller, warmer frequencies and great projection. Together, this combination is one of the most balanced and versatile, suiting a wide variety of musical styles. The neck is a glued-in, mahogany design, with a rosewood fingerboard.

To the rear of the headstock, the Min-ETune system is fitted. For those who haven’t seen this before, this is a series of motorised tuners capable of tuning themselves. When engaged, the player simply has to strum the open strings a few times, and within seconds, the guitar adjusts itself until it is perfectly in-tune. In addition, alternative tunings can be dialled-in with equal speed, with sixteen different presets available.

The pickup fitted to the FT-350SCE is a Shadow Nanoflex design. This sits neatly in the guitar bridge. In conjunction with the Shadow Performer preamp, it provides great reproduction of the guitar’s tone when amplified. Two-band EQ controls, along with a Dynamics control, Phase switch and mute button also feature.

The guitar has a tasteful, antique natural finish, with contrasting white binding on the body and neck.
