Casio AP260 Our Opinion

Casio AP260 Digital Piano. Price Currently £569

Our Opinion :

For the past 26 years we have been selling digital pianos and this is probably one of the best entry level models that we have seen in a while. From the moment we opened the box we found the packaging to be extremely good. All of the components parts were in sealed bags and laid out in a logical order.

Once you begin to assemble the piano you realise that the build quality is above the rest of the pack. The rear base panel fits neatly into the piano legs which are recessed making for a very tidy finish. The screws attaching the pedal board to the piano legs have black caps to cover them and all in all the base fits together beautifully. There are 3 pedals, soft , sustenuto and sustain and these have a gold hardware finish

Once assembled we found the piano to be a delight to play. The 88 weighted keys feel very nice and have an ivory feel finish. ( Unusual for a piano at this price point ) The control panel is clean and uncluttered and the initial Grand piano sound is rich and clear in all registers. The bass notes respond well as do notes in the higher registers.

There are many other useful features on this piano including the build in song library. There is a record facility and a nice variety of alternative piano sounds including Grand piano, mellow piano and a classical piano. There is also some excellent electric piano sounds. Two headphone sockets are supplied on the front as well as a roll down lid and music rest.

The finish is a very durable Black satin. Casio have also put a 3 year warranty on this product as well as some free online piano lessons.

We have awarded this piano 5 stars. There is a new model coming out soon but at the moment the AP260 is at a promotional price.
